STATEMENT
I surrender my thoughts in the act of painting and let instinct show me what the painting needs. Painting becomes a process of discovering myself and the world through what the painting teaches. It has allowed me to use my spirit within, instead of logic, for my subject matter. Emotion and intuition instead of reason lead me through my painting to create whatever evolves on the surface. My work expresses what is uniquely human, our spirit, our higher self, and the energy of the universe that flows through all of us. I am but a vessel that uses intuition and emotion to interpret this flow of energy. My paintings are visual aesthetic artifacts of my experience connecting with the universe and the human spirit.
